Safari To Masai Mara

Established in 1952 under the British Colonial Government, the park was initially called Kazinga National Park. Later in 1954, the park was re-named Queen Elizabeth National Park as a tribute to Her Majesty the Queen of England when she visited the park that very year.

Covering a total size of 1978km², Queen Elizabeth National Park is home to about 95 mammal species and more than 600 recorded bird species. The park has the highest record mammal and bird species beating all the other nine National Parks and ten game reserves in Uganda. This park has a rich ecosystem with vegetation ranging from expansive Savannah grasslands, wetlands, and forests thus a variety of natural habitats for wildlife.
Detailed Itinerary
DAY 1Nairobi - Maasai Mara7 am pick up from your hotel or airport and drive through the Narok route to Maasai Mara. The Masai Mara National Reserve is Kenya’s finest wildlife reserve. Everything about this reserve is beautiful. The wildlife is abundant and the gentle rolling grasslands ensure that animals are never out of sight. Birds, too, are prolific it also has over 450 species have been recorded, among them, 57 species of birds of prey. The climate is equally balanced, rarely too hot, and has well-spread rainfall year all round. Rain, when it falls almost always chooses the late afternoon or night. The park also boasts of the annual migration of the wildebeest from the Serengeti to the Mara in search of greener pastures between the months of July-October which makes the park more beautiful to visit especially during this particular period of the year. You arrive in time for check-in and lunch Dinner and overnight at the camp or lodge.

DAY 2Maasai Mara0630hrs have an early morning game drive inside the vast park [you can also book a balloon safari with us at a special rate offered below, this normally takes place at 0600hrs with pick up from the camp or lodge at around 0500hrs]. Return to the lodge/camp just in time for lunch. Lunch at leisure. 1600hrs have an afternoon game drive till dusk. Dinner and overnight at either camp or lodge (if you opt not to go on a balloon safari we can also offer a full day game drive with picnic lunches at no extra cost).

DAY 3Breakfast then check out and drive back to Nairobi on this day we will treat you to a farewell lunch at the carnivore restaurant. After lunch drops off at the airport for your departure flight.
